Fake Search Engines for Twitter

Today when I was concentrating more on Twitter, I had a thought of using twitter search engines to search those tweet messages. So as usual like everyone, me too have started using Twitter’s in-built search engine. But overall, I don’t like the in-built search engine and hence googled about Twitter search and then came with a website called TwitterSearch.Com.

First I thought that this will be from Twitter itself and hence I made some research on that page itself. The website claims that it will be launched in July, 2009. When I saw it’s footer content, I was stunned to see that it’s a property of Yahoo Inc. which means Yahoo is seriously concentrating on Twitter? May be.

For a proof, look at the following picture.

Even though I was not yet able to believe this and hence made a quick find on the domain’s whois information and found that name server of this domain name points to BlueHost.Com hosting services. If it is from Yahoo, it will be hosted within Yahoo’s server itself and Yahoo will not host it’s products in any other hosting services.

Also the domain name owner’s information is privacy protected and hence I can’t able to find his name. Even though I was managed to find his name from the whois archives and is registered under “David Troy” in the year 2007 .

The problem is whether it is from Yahoo or not? Fake one! Well I am contacting Yahoo at present.

Update: Got a mail from Yahoo as a reply to my mail about this website and Yahoo states that it is not their property. We thank Yahoo for its super fast response to such mails.

What are you thinking right now? Share with us. Definitely yours will be wonderful than mine!
