It’s like a dream for many beginners to get a wonderful domain name and all are almost begging to get such a domain name. In this competition, many youngsters are also in thought of saving money and hence they all went to low cost domain registrars without knowing anything about the registrars.

domain registrars new threat domain name owners Domain Registrars A new threat to your domain name!

Here starts the problem. Do you know what kind of problems that you are going to face after registering your domain name? Let’s see one by one.

Problems

  1. Most of them don’t offer what they have promised.
  2. One of my old domain registrar don’t even offer Domain Lock service for me. Likewise, they may deny basic needs of the customers.
  3. Some of them didn’t exist for a long time. One of my friend registered a domain through a cheap domain registrar. But after 6 months, the domain registrar went offline and my friend was unable to access his domain control panel.
  4. Still some of the domain registrars are registering domains under their name instead of registering under the customers name. It happened two years before for me.
  5. If your domain name is a premium one, there is a chance of takeover of your domain name by them. It happened to me as my previous domain registrar took my domain without my notice.
  6. They may deny domain name transfer to an another registrar. One of my friend got this problem with an Asian domain registrar.
  7. They may sell your domain name. Yes. You can see many domain registrars are doing this right now.

I am not against the low cost domain registrars. But there are some fraudsters everywhere and it happens also in domain registration service. It is must for you to take care of your domain name.

Well, I don’t think that these problems may exist with a good domain registrar.

It may happen if someone uses a brand new registrar but with reputable registrars like GoDaddy and NameCheap, there may not be a single issue!

Well Kevin. Don’t worry about your domain names with BizzHost. I too a proud customer of BizzHost and they are simply amazing with their service. BizzHost is not just a small company and you can trust them.
You have confused yourself with the terms International and Normal domain names.
.Com, .Net, .Org, .Info, .Biz are some of the generic top level domains and .in, .co.in, .co.uk are some of the regional top level domains. Nothing more than that.

Always choose reputated and certified domain registrars. I am currently using GoDaddy. If you want to know about good domain registrars ask fellow bloggers. They will gladly help you out.

I don’t think this is goona be a serious problem. But yes there are cheap hosting that you need to be careful off.

When you register a domain, you would get a Key in your domain cpanel, make sure you save that key, that’s gonna help you transfer the domain to a new host!

    thanks for highlighting!

I think I read once that even if your registrar goes bankrupt, your domain will still be active and available, though it might take longer to move it to a different registrar – but at least you’re still “owning” it and being able to use it.

Yes. We need the Domain secret key to transfer our domain. If not we should wait for a long period to get back our domain.

Well. I am really worried with the way many of you all understood from this article. I didn’t tell that all cheap domain resellers are bad. Some of them are bad and it is good to research before purchasing anything from them.
Don’t get worried with your India domain registrar. There are plenty of good Indian domain registrars and I am having some domains with Indian domain registrars. If you still have doubt, kindly contact me with your domain registrar detail so that I can conduct a detailed research about your domain registrar.
